Li Tongchun, male, born in June 1963, holds a graduate degree and earned his PhD in Hydraulic Structures Engineering in 1989. He is currently a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering at Hohai University, and also serves as the Secretary-General of the Hydraulic Power Engineering Society of Jiangsu Province, Honorary Member of the Seismic and Disaster Prevention Special Committee of the Chinese Hydraulic Power Engineering Society, Deputy Director of the Water Conservancy Structure Professional Committee of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, and member of the Water Resources Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society. He has previously held positions such as Vice Dean of the College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering at Hohai University, Executive Vice Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Efficient Utilization of Water Resources and Engineering Safety, and Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering at Hohai University. He has long been engaged in research on seismic resistance of hydraulic structures, risk assessment of hydraulic engineering safety, numerical simulation of landslides and debris flows, and has completed more than 100 national natural science foundation projects, national science and technology support programs, public welfare industry special projects of the Ministry of Water Resources, national key research and development plans, and major engineering scientific research projects. He has won one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two first prizes of the Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Award, one special prize of the Hydraulic Power Science and Technology Award, and one second prize of the Anhui Province Science and Technology Progress Award. He has published three monographs, about 228 papers, of which 84 are indexed in SCI and EI, and has been granted over 20 invention patents.
